Trainer Spotlight: Kalesta from Mantra Sarasota

How Kalesta Prepares to Teach Mantra Workouts

Every great class starts with a prepared instructor. Today, we’re diving into the behind-the-scenes world of our very own Kalesta to learn about the steps they take to ensure every class at Mantra Sarasota is an exceptional experience for all participants.

1. What inspires you to teach Mantra workouts?

“What inspires me to teach at Mantra Fitness is the incredible community we’ve built. Seeing clients transform not just physically but also mentally as they gain confidence and strength is so rewarding. I love being part of their wellness journeys and watching them achieve things they never thought possible. The supportive, uplifting energy at Mantra keeps me motivated every day to give my best and help others reach their potential.”

2. How do you structure your classes?

“My classes typically follow a block format, working on fatiguing one muscle group at a time. I really feel like this helps us be the most efficient we can be!”

3. What is your routine before teaching a class?

“Since I teach in the early morning, I try to wake up early to spend some time getting myself in the right headspace to be a positive and effective instructor for the clients. Everyone has a lot going on in their own lives, and I enjoy seeing them leave class happier than when they came in!”

4. How do you select music for your classes?

“It depends on the energy of the day. I like switching it up between DJ mixes, current pop, and house beats!”

5. Do you incorporate any new trends or techniques into your classes?

“I try to stay current with my techniques and constantly pull from my anatomy and physiology training.”

6. How do you ensure your classes cater to all fitness levels?

“Inclusivity is key! I hone in on queuing proper form, and I take time to walk around the room – making sure everyone is in the proper position. This way, everyone from beginners to advanced students can participate and benefit.”

7. What is the most rewarding part of teaching at Mantra Fitness?

“A big reward of teaching at Mantra is watching the clients grow in strength and self-confidence. They share an hour of their day with me, and I don’t take that lightly! I want to show respect for their time, and I do my best to give them a good class that hopefully leaves them stronger and proud of themselves!”
