Discovering Pilates: A New Beginning

Sarah began her journey with Mantra Fitness Tampa in April 2024 after dealing with persistent lower back issues. A tennis player and a mom who had undergone two C-sections, Sarah often found herself struggling with recurring injuries. Following her physical therapist’s recommendation, she decided to try Pilates—and it’s safe to say her life hasn’t been the same since.


Transformations You Can Feel and See

Since starting Pilates classes at Mantra South Tampa, Sarah has noticed incredible changes in her body and mind.

  • Her arms and legs have become more toned.
  • Her core and lower back, areas that used to cause her discomfort, are now stronger and more resilient.

But it’s not just about the physical benefits. For Sarah, stepping onto the machine provides a much-needed mental reset.

“As soon as I get on the machine, I’m able to shut off every other issue in the world and my to-do list. I just focus on my body and what needs to be fixed that day.”

The slow, intentional movements not only strengthen her body but also give her a sense of mental clarity.

What Sarah Loves Most About Mantra

One of Sarah’s favorite aspects of her Mantra journey is the sense of community she’s found.

“What I enjoy most about classes here, other than feeling very sore the next day, is the community of people that come here.” 

Connecting with others who share her fitness goals has been a rewarding experience, making every class even more enjoyable.

Advice for First-Timers

Sarah encourages anyone curious about Pilates to take that first step without hesitation.

“Don’t be intimidated coming in—seeing the machine, hearing the different moves, and watching everyone going. After a few classes, you’ll feel more in the groove, and your body will love it!”
