Danelle on Why She Loves Mantra Workouts
At Mantra Fitness, we are grateful to have a community of passionate and motivating clients. This month, we’re excited to spotlight Danelle from Mantra Sarasota, a cherished member of our Mantra family. Danelle has kindly offered to share her personal journey with Mantra and the positive impact it has had on her life.
Meet Danelle
“I am 55 years young, and have lived in Sarasota for 10 years now with my husband of 22 years…relocated from NJ. After landing in Sarasota and embracing a healthier lifestyle, I also made a major career change. I was a Regional Director for major brands such as Victoria’s Secret, Chico’s and Express…and decided to do something I have passion for. So I got my Real Estate license in 2016, bought 2 rental properties, and continue to thrive making my clients raving fans. I always have a “get it done” attitude, which serves me well both professionally and personally. I also am a competitive person by nature so this has been a personal challenge that I have embraced – and the fact that I LOVE it as well is just a bonus.”
Why Danelle Started Pilates at Mantra
“My friend Andrea is a passionate Mantra fan, and comes almost daily. She won a free class with her friends. I tried to get out of it by saying I did not have the right footwear, to which she said “I have plenty.” After complaining the entire class, I turned to the ladies and said, “I think I really like this.”
I never stayed consistent with workouts except for daily walking 10,000 steps, so for me, this is huge!”
The Journey So Far
“I love all of the awesome trainers, and how they really care about how you are doing. I kept thinking which one is my favorite, and I really can say I don’t have a favorite! THEY ARE ALL GREAT! I love that they are constantly reminding of the smallest corrections which REALLY helps.
I am in the 8 week challenge and definitely a top runner in the number of classes attended. In May I went from taking only 2 times per week, to July taking 3 classes per week, and then in August I went to the unlimited membership! I don’t see me ever going back to less than 4-5 times per week. I actually feel anxious if I do not have a day of Mantra. It really seems to center me for the day and clear my mind and body for good energy and focus.”
The Biggest Benefits of Mantra Workouts
“Moving to level 2, and getting stronger each month is really rewarding. I love that this workout addresses the total body- and I see my muscles responding. One class a trainer even said…”look you have a muscle there” and I was so proud! An added bonus is that there is no high impact – just slow and steady and embracing the shakes – which makes so much sense to me, especially in my mid 50’s. I see the difference even in the way I carry myself. I tend to have drooping shoulders and now I see me holding myself in a better position as my muscles grow and respond. I also see my sides shrinking… still a way to go but I see the progress!”
