We hope all of you enjoyed your holiday weekend! We had a blast grilling out and soaking up some vitamin D. Getting back into the swing of things after a holiday weekend or vacation can be rough & tough. Regardless of your schedule, who you're responsible for, or how long your list is...a few tips never hurt!
find out what works. Find out what works for you! There are so many mediums that we can use for planning -- paper calendar, iPhone calendar, post-its. You may need to try a couple, but figure out what works for you, it will help you still to your plan best.
sit down & plan. Make it a ritual. Figure out a day that works best for you -- sit down and plan it out. Plan your workouts, family time, time with your love, friend time and don't forget time with you! Yes, sounds a little silly, but if these things are posted somewhere, you are less likely to miss them.
set a timer. Sounds silly, but Pinterest & Facebook, oh my! Yes, we get a lot of fun ideas from both, but they can warp time away for you easily! Something a few of us have implemented: if we have a really busy day, sometimes gazing at Pinterest can be a little break, but we set a timer or watch the clock. Let your mind relax for 5-10 minutes as you gaze at the pretty pictures, then get back at it!
be easy on yourself. It takes 21 days to create a habit & 90 days to create a lifestyle. If you are just starting out to break down your day(s), don't be hard on yourself if things are perfect the first week! Managing your time take practice -- and we all know life happens.
